If   you are a caring person, enjoy helping others and have  good communication skills then a career in care may be for you.  As a Springboard trainee you can study for relevant qualifications while gaining hands on experience in either a hospital or a nursing/residential  home for the elderly.

We offer placements across the North East in a working / learning environment that will help you gain experience and achieve your qualification. 

Together this could help you towards a career in the care sector.

 
 

What will you do?

  • Personal Care - assisting at meal times

  • Assist staff with their daily duties

  • Escort clients / patients

  • Be involved with social activities

  • Talk to clients

  • Make beds

Your entitlement:

  • You may be entitled to an EMA + bonuses and may also be entitled to travelling expenses

  • Ongoing support throughout the programme

  • One-to-one support where needed

 
 

Qualifications:

 

City & Guilds Health and Social Care NVQs Level 2 and Level 3, Technical Certificates and Key Skills, as well as other qualifications available to help you gain a career in Healthcare. You will usually spend four days each week in your placement and one day at Springboard working towards your apprenticeship.
